Award Criteria
AICPA Scholarship for Minority Accounting Students

This scholarship program, through the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, provides awards of up to $5,000 to outstanding minority students to encourage their selection of accounting as a major and their ultimate entry into the profession. These awards are funded by the AICPA Foundation from monies contributed by the AICPA, its members, public accounting firms, and others. The program has been in existence for more than 20 years and has awarded more than $6 million in scholarships.

The CCCU Scholarship

The Christian Community Credit Union is awarding $90,000 in scholarships to 2020-2021 Undergraduate and Graduate students.

The Dana Kull Memorial Scholarship The Dana Kull Memorial Scholarship is a special fund at Ocean City Tabernacle awarding scholarship funds to individuals pursuing education leading to vocations of Christian service. The fund supports the education of students at the undergraduate, graduate, or seminary level, based on the Committee’s evaluation of the application.
Any student pursuing a career in Christian service and currently actively involved in Christian service may apply for a scholarship. Applications are due by May 7, 2021 for the Fall 2021 semester’s awards and can be found here.

6th Annual Religious Scholars Program

The 6th Annual Religious Scholars Program is for graduate level students who are pursuing advanced degrees and are committed to ministry as a career. Twenty  scholarship winners will each receive $2,500 to help pay for tuition fees, books and other costs. The Earnest Scholarship

Earnest.com is giving away $250,000 in scholarships for students picked at random. There are no entry fees or essays needed.

First in My Family Scholarship The First in My Family Scholarship Program, developed in partnership with the Hispanic College Fund, offers scholarships to Hispanic students who are the first in their family to attend college. Open to Hispanic-Americans enrolled as full-time undergraduate students at approved accredited institutions.  Applicants must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale). Scholarships range from $500 to $5,000.
The J.E. Sirrine Scholarship Program

J.E. Sirrine Scholarships, available to high school graduates in The School District of Greenville County (South Carolina) since 1973, were made possible through a bequest of the late Joseph Emory Sirrine. A textile engineer and architect, Mr. Sirrine died on August 7, 1947. His will established a trust fund for his brother and his niece, with the provision that if both of them died childless, his will would become operative.

The Gates Millennium Scholarship The Gates Millennium Scholarship was established to provide outstanding African American, American Indian/Alaska Natives, Asian pacific Islander Americans, and Hispanic American students with an opportunity to complete an undergraduate college education, in all discipline areas and a graduate education for those student pursuing studies in mathematics, science, engineering, education, or library science.
The Department of Homeland Security Scholarship and Fellowship Program

The Department of Homeland Security Scholarship and Fellowship Program is intended for students interested in pursuing the basic science and technology innovations that can be applied to the DHS mission. This education program is intended to ensure a diverse and highly talented science and technology community to achieve the DHS mission and objectives.  Areas of study that are eligible include: physical, mathematical, computer and information, life, and social sciences, psychology, selected humanities, and engineering.

National Federation of the Blind (NFB) Scholarship Program Each year at its national convention in July, the NFB gives a broad array of thirty scholarships to recognize achievement by blind scholars.
Ascent Student Loans – 50 Days of $1000 No Essay Scholarships Ascent Student Loans will be giving away one $1000 student scholarship each day this summer. No essays required. Visit their website for more information.
SCWF Scholarships The South Carolina Wildlife Federation is awarding $500 scholarships to eligible graduate and undergraduate students pursing a degree in environmental fields of study. The application deadline is October 31.
Upsolve Access to Justice Scholarship The Upsolve Scholarship is designed to encourage students to come up with creative ideas for changes they would like to see with our country’s current legal system. A two-page essay is required to be eligible for this scholarship.
PNC Student Lending Scholarship The PNC Student Lending Scholarship is a $2,000 scholarship that will be given to one random college/university student in the U.S. who creates an account for PNC’s Financial Literacy Tools and Resources.
SCNF Scholarship The South Carolina Nurses Foundation is now accepting applications for the 2021 Nurses Care Undergraduate and Graduate Nurse Scholarships. The Board of Trustees will be awarding $2,000 undergraduate scholarships and $3,000 graduate scholarships to qualified nursing students currently enrolled in a RN, Master’s or Doctoral program. Deadline for submission of applications is June 5, 2021. The scholarships will be awarded in September 2021. The students must be currently enrolled in a nursing program when they receive the award. Checks will be awarded to the student with the stipulation that the funds be used toward educational expenses.

Women and Children Succeeding (WACS) Women and Children Succeeding (WACS) supports moms who are in college working toward their degree. These wrap-around services include financial assistance with childcare, transportation, required class supplies/textbooks and other emergency costs, which occur during enrollment.
